Ok, I’m a recteq pelllet grill guy – I love my recteq hands down. I saw this exit fire & go pellet grill online and thought month after month about buying it. I keep looking at it and thinking to myself naw this thing is like $400 something I’m not going to waste that much money on it – only reason I was even looking at travel smokers was the fact I wanted to have a pellet grill for boating and camping instead of just cooking over an open fire. Well the battery is what actually sold me on this pellet grill. The fact you can cook mobile off the battery was actually a selling point so Yes I wouldn’t be writing this review if I hadn’t of bought the thing. It’s awesome this grill keeps consistent heat at the set point you set it for. I’ve done many cooks on it thus far unfortunately haven’t been camping yet with it but I’ll be doing that this week. I’ve cooked steaks , wings etc on this grill and every single time the cooks have came out 100% if your like I was and just keep reading through the reviews second guessing yourself, then just stop and buy it. The grill is perfect for off grid camping. The battery only takes about 20 mins to charge from your home outlet or power bank and it keeps a charge well enough for a few cooking sessions. I love this grill. I’ve cooked on my job sites on the back my bucket truck I’ve had customers and general public walk up and ask what in the work is that . Like I said completely awesomeOh I forgot to mention this grill heats up very quickly. I f you set it to 500 for your searing it hits that 500 mark in about 5 mins .
