Preciva Digital Psychrometer Thermo-Hygrometer, LCD Mini Temperature and Humidity Meter with Dew Point and Wet Bulb Temperature Hygrometer for Agriculture, Industry, Meteorology (9V Battery Included)

I’m a gadget geek and if I see a gadget I don’t have, I usually have to have it. So you guessed it, I saw this Preciva Digital Psychrometer Thermo-Hygrometer Temperature Meter and I had to have it. Even though I didn’t know exactly what this meter did at the time….What I discovered is this Preciva meter is a temperature and humidity meter that features a wet-bulb and dry-bulb giving it the ability to gauge dew point temperature. I can definitely see many uses for this meter when these reading are important; I will mostly use it in my garage and house to monitor and adjust temperature and humidity.To use I just had to install the included 9-volt battery and the press the bottom “On” button to see the readings. You will find a larger numeric reading on top and a smaller numeric reading below.I will list the screens below: (I used 99.99 just as reference.)1. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 C2. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 F3. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 C Dewpoint4. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 F Dewpoint5. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 C Wet Bulb6. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 F Wet BulbEssentially, there are 3 sets of readings: Relative Humidity followed by Temperature, Dew Point, and Wet Bulb in both in Celsius and Fahrenheit. Note: When powering on the meter it defaults to the last screen that was in use before being powered off.There is also a Max/Min button that is used to toggle between the current, minimum, and maximum readings for any of the combinations of reading listed above.The screen is clear and the primary readings are very readable even for my tired old eyes. However, I find that the smaller indicators ‘C’, ‘F’, ‘Dew Point’, and ‘Wet Bulb’ are hard to see and require me to put on reading glasses. There is also no backlight as indicated in the description.On the back of the meter is a 1/4” threaded receiver that lets you mount this to a tripod or camera mount, which comes in handy.As for accuracy, I have to take their word on that. I have many temperature and humidity gauges and the readings from this Preciva meter are consistent with them.In conclusion, so far I like this littler meter. The only slight negatives is some of the indicators being a little too small for me, and the lack of a backlight. I also wish the meter could sense temperature and humidity changes a little quicker, which would make it a little nice for finding and recording temperature and humidity fluctuations.I hope some of this information helped.
